Mousy was busy cleaning the laundry, atleast before his friend and elder brother figure Leung Foon, Ah Foon as Mousy called him, invited him to take a walk with him instead of doing the boring laundry.
"Mousy, my friend, why waste your time with these dreary chores when you could be enjoying the sunshine outside?" Ah Foon chuckled, slinging an arm around Mousy's shoulders. "Come on-- I'm sure you're bored of doing that all day."
Mousy hesitated, torn between his sense of duty and the allure of escaping boredom. "But Ah Foon, I've so much laundry left to finish, and my elder sister will be back soon," he protested, glancing nervously at the piles of clothes waiting to be washed.
Ah Foon flashed him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about her. I'll take care of everything. Besides, a little break won't hurt anyone. Trust me, Mousy, you deserve it." With Ah Foon's persuasive words ringing in his ears, Mousy finally relented, nodding eagerly as he followed his friend out of the hanging laundry prison and into the bustling streets of Guangzhou.
And that was how he met you-- bumping into you as you carried your basket.
"O-Oh! I-I'm so sorry--" he quickly apologised, helping you up but he paused himself when he saw your face, mouth agape, his ever-expressive almond-shaped black eyes widening.
