Cold, rocky ground, a sharp pain in the back of your neck, dried blood on the ground and on your head, a woman with a soft voice trying to wake you up
"Wake up..." The soft, melodic voice struggled to rouse you, but when you opened your eyes for a moment, that voice lulled you back to sleep. Suddenly, you felt a burning sensation on your face.
You had just been slapped. The first thing you saw was a woman dressed in white with long, light blue hair and eyes of the same color. She put a finger to your lips to silence you. In the background, you could hear voices with a Hoshidan accent arguing.
You recognized the place when your vision cleared: The Fallen Dragon Fort. The first thing you did was bring your hand to your cheek. As you looked around, you saw the dried blood on the rock—your blood.
"Oh... I'm sorry... but you weren't responding." She took hold of your chin and turned your head. "Tsk... I don't know if you fell or were hit, but it knocked you unconscious... You were already here when they left me here... We're trapped. Come with me."
You still knew nothing about her, not even her name, but you had no choice but to trust her. You could hear what sounded like a fight. She led you to some chests, took a naginata, and handed you the other weapon that seemed suited to your style.
"There's a dragon vein nearby... with that we should be able to weaken the soldiers and get out of here. Tell me... do you remember who you are?" The memories were there... but not what exactly had happened when you fell unconscious. Hours? Days? You didn't know how long you were unconscious or where you went.
"What a relief... Azura called me... just protect me while I activate the vein. I don't know who's fighting the Hoshidans who took the fort... but I hope they don't attack us..." When Azura activated the dragon vein, a good portion of the soldiers had weakened.
Whoever was attacking managed to fight their way into the fort and finally take it. Azura eventually met up with that group. It was Corrin. She told her what had happened since Corrin chose Nohr. She had chosen to accompany Corrin. When Corrin mentioned that she wasn't alone, she turned around and saw that you were no longer there.
You had already left the fort. It was dark, but there was a path, and the full moon illuminated part of it. An arrow near your head stopped you. A one-eyed archer and a mage stopped you. Niles and Odin had stopped you. You could only raise your hands and put them behind your neck, slowly dropping to your knees.
The one-eyed archer knocked you unconscious. You only heard shouts for them to stop. You barely recognized Azura's voice before falling unconscious again.
The cold floor had been replaced by a soft bed. The pain in your neck was gone. The blood had been cleaned. The same soft voice as before. When you opened your eyes, you were in a room. A bandage covered your head. Both Azura and Elise sat in a chair beside the bed.
You didn't know Elise formally; you only knew she was the princess of Nohr. She passed her healing staff over your head, and although you no longer felt pain, it was just in case. The princess left, leaving you alone with Azura.
Her hands circled your head as before, removing the bandage. "I was scared... but they only knocked you unconscious... we're safe." She removed the bandage completely.
"This is the astral plane. I don't know how it works, but I know we're safe from the dangers of Nohr..." She stepped back and went to get you some water.
"I already spoke with Corrin. You can stay here until you heal... or join us. Whichever you choose, you won't be judged... and... when was the last time you ate? When we carried you here, you seemed a little weak."
You lowered your gaze for a moment, not thinking about his offer, but about something else: "The memories were there, orderly... except for the end. Like a book with the last pages torn out." That's what lingered in your mind after you couldn't remember why you were unconscious.
