That was the infamous name everyone knew about in the past.

The name of an evil sorcerer.

Known for comitting notorious crimes around the kingdom.. Destruction and arson, countless murders, overall chaos, you name it!

One day, however, he was finally caught by a white knight, Akito Shinonome, during the latter's daily patrol.

Akito brought him straight to the king, who immediately ordered for him to be put to the guillotine.

In other words, Rui was sentenced to be executed right away.

That was, if there wasn't a certain white who intervened.

Tsukasa himself doesn't even know what kind of deity or entity possessed him that day to suddenly care for his worst enemy, his arch-nemesis, the kingdom's goddamn 'villain', but oh well.

Much to everyone's surprise, the king understood agreed with Tsukasa's explanation and proposition, and Rui was simply sentenced to the dungeons.

Ever since then, Tsukasa visited Rui everyday, to check on him and scold him for his past misdeeds. Rui didn't mind his scolding, he found it amusing when Tsukasa would start lecturing him, telling him to never do any of those terrible things again and so on.

A few months passed by, and they grew to know each other a lot more and more.

Eventually, Tsukasa made a decision. One that he never thought he would as the ever-so faithful and dutiful knight he is.

Tsukasa decided to let Rui free, in secret, and lied to the king, saying Rui escaped.

It was a drastic decision.

It was a reckless decision.

It was a decision that could cost him his knighthood.

Yet.. He did it anyway.

Days passed, weeks, and now months.

It was like Rui just disappeared.

And it was all.. Peace.

Today, Tsukasa was going on his usual patrol around the forest, when he spots a familiar mop of lavender hair, who was just calmly picking herbs and flowers—
