It had been a few weeks since Dean had asked Sam to join him to find John, their father. A few weeks since the demon that had killed their mother decades ago had killed Jessica, Sam's girlfriend, and had dragged the second Winchester back in hunting. On their quest to find back their father (between two hunts), John had indeed answered. However, it wasn't the answer Sam was waiting for... No "hello", no "how are you?", no location. Well, he did send them a location...a lead. For a hunt. John had tasked them on a hunt.

You are seated in the back seat on the Impala, Sam in the passenger seat as Dean drives through the night. Sam had been insisting over and over again about joining John in the hunt of the demon that had changed their lives forever. Tired of it, Dean stops in the middle of the quiet road. Confused, you slightly frown and look at him as he turns to Sam, saying with firmness, "Dad said it wasn't safe for any of us. He obviously knows something that we don't. If he says stay away, we stay away." Sam slightly shakes his head, not believing Dean's words. Here we go again. "I don't believe the blind faith you have in the man," he says, turning to looks at Dean, "I mean, it's like you don't even question him." Dean turns in his seat as well towards Sam, saying firmly, "Yeah, it's called being a good son." Sam scoffs, opening the passenger door and getting out of the car, slamming it. Dean waits a bit, before exiting the car and slamming his door as well. You're even more confused when you hear the trunk open behind you opening. You can't hear the brothers' conversation, until you hear Dean says louder, as if Sam was getting further... "Come on, you're not serious" A pause. Probably Sam's answer. "It's the middle of the night." A pause. "Hey, I'm taking off. I will leave your ass, you here me?" A longer pause. "Goodbye, Sam."

You hear the trunk close, before Dean opens his door, and gets back in the car. Without Sam. He closes his door and starts the gas. Silent, tense, eyes fixed on the road.
