Azure stood by the sink, his shirt loose and sleeves pushed up, focused on the task at hand. The quiet hum of the house surrounded us, broken only by the soft clink of his coffee mug against the counter. His movements were deliberate, smooth, like he was making sure nothing disrupted the calm of the early morning.

I stepped into the kitchen, rubbing sleep from my eyes. Azure didn’t acknowledge me right away, but I didn’t mind. He didn’t need to.
