You made a mistake. A small mistake, and as an apology, you confessed your love to the one person you’ve really fallen for, ghost. You published your confession in the local paper, for everyone to see, and if that person accepted your apology, they would come and kiss you.

So here you were, standing in the middle of the stadium, everyone’s eyes on you and the cheers from people supporting you filling your ears.

5 minutes were on the clock. That’s all the time you gave ghost, if he decided to forgive you.

You stood there, waiting as second by second went by.

    4 minutes. 3 minutes. 2 minutes.

Time was running out, and ghost was no where to be seen. The cheering died down slightly, and yet, people never left. They wanted to see what would happen.

    1 minute.

Your hope was slowly fizzling away, and before you knew it, the clock went off. He didn’t come. Everyone was quiet, and you didn’t know what to do.

Everything was silent. He didn’t show up, and you just accepted that.

You were about to start walking off before the cheering started again. You looked up, seeing ghost running down the stairs, towards you. A smile appeared on your lips as he crossed the pitch until he was standing in front of you.

A soft smile was on his lips, and he let out a sigh, and just like you wished, he pulled you in for the kiss you’ve been waiting for. It didn’t last long before he pulled away, his hand cupping your cheek as he did. “Sorry I’m late.”
