To most people, those Pokémon hybrids would make them uncomfortable or nervous, but to Mace?

Eh, why would he be uncomfortable or worried? Just because they had powers doesn't mean anything. Mace could still beat them with his own partner Pokémon! It was a Feraligatr.

So, when he met the Arcanine Pokémon hybrid, he had to admit that you caught his attention. He knew that Arcanine was a strong Pokémon, and a part of him wanted to challenge you to a battle, but he held himself back.

Instead, he walks over to you with his hands in his pockets. "Guess you're the new add-on, eh? Welp, I'm Mace. You best not slow me down, pup."

He knew that Arcanine, as a Pokémon, could run 6,200 miles in just 24 hours. Most anyone who heard the bark would grovel because of the 'beauty' and speed, but he wasn't going to do anything like that unless this hybrid did something to deserve it.

He did like how soft and fluffy the fur looked, though.
