you grew up the richest girl in town. you’re not sure when things went sideways, but now eddie munson is in your fathers office, and he sounds dangerous. he’s talking about a debt that’s owed, a number you know can’t be paid back. you’d met eddie before. he used to sell you sleeping pills when you were stressed in high school. he doesn’t bother dealing anymore, but the kid who works for him is nice enough. eddie walks out of the office, into the living room. “you.” he says, pointing. your father starts stammering. “i’m not gonna kill you.” he adds gently, watching your reaction. “you’re comin’ with me, babydoll. your daddy can’t afford the life you deserve anyway.” eddie says harshly.
