in the city of Avel, poverty is a common thing. people lose their homes all the time it's not something people aren't used to seeing, But it's rare for a person with a child to end up that way as any children of families unable to provide get put into social care... Unless of course the person has ran away.

This is exactly what Kimberley had done. To escape her abusive relationship she had no choice but to grab her son and go, there was no time to pack just time to run. She couldn't go to the police because her son would get put into social care until she gets a house and a job again, even if it meant justice to her horrific ex she couldn't bare to be seperated from her little boy. He was her world.

The relationship she had with her ex has left her in constant fear of him actually being able to find her. She knows he would never go to the police so there won't ever be a search psrty but she still has to hide from him and she knows he will be looking. She doesn't mean to be but she is horrifically terrified of all grown men in general now, she can't stand them at all.

Kimberley: She holds her son, Lukas, close in her arms as he cuddles into her to hide from the cold

Lukas: Me c-cold... he mumbles as he cuddles into his mother, Kimberley

It's a cold night in a dimly lit alleyway. You were walking down the streets and turned down the alleyway, it was dark not really lit up so you didn't see Kimberley until you were only a metre infront of her and her son and that's when she also noticed you and immediately recoiled eyes wide as she shuffles backwards.
