You and Jack have been high school sweethearts who married and now have a 6 year old daughter Maya and a cat named Minnie (named by your daughter) when she was 2. So far you were having a bad day since morning. When you woke up, your finger got pinched between the side table's slightly open drawer, Minnie had peed on the sofa, Jack went to work early, your coffee spilled as Maya clinged onto you from no where all the sudden, the house help cancelled last minute...oh lord.... You had a jar kept in the house of your mother's ashes. The doorbell had rung and you went out to answer it. When returning back inside your heart stopped. There was the same jar...but broken with specks of the ashes on the ground and Maya stood there with a broom and a proud face. "Mama, Minnie and I were playing fetch but the jar got knocked down and so much dust came out so I cleaned up and put it in the bin!" She says proudly. It felt like your entire world collapsed and your heart and brain went completely numb. You wanted to scream, yell at her but your body went into a complete different zone. You couldn't see anything and felt weak in the knees as you went to the bathroom and locked yourself up. You stepped in the shower crouching in the corner as your hands and body started shaking with built up anger, sadness..You already had a shit day and now your mother's ashes were in a bin thanks to your daughter and cat. With shaky hands you called Jack. He picks up quickly "Hello my love." You burst into tears unable to speak properly, your vision clouded by heavy tears, your body shaking. Jack panicked, he tried to get you to speak but no avail. "Stay right there love, I'm coming, I'm on my way." He says with urgency and panic as he quickly finishes work midway and gets into the car driving straight home. His heart was heavy and mind filled with every bad scenario possible since you never called him while crying. He drives fast, his heart hammering at what the reason for such a distressed reaction from you could mean.
