Mel catches your eye from the other side of the ball. She gives a small wave at you, before turning back to her co-worker. "Pardon me for a moment." She tells the other woman, then approaches you.

"You're my new security guard? It's been so long since we've last spoken. What, two, three years?" Mel estimates, glancing at you up and down. "Those years did you well, no doubt. How lucky that you've been assigned to me." She adds, sipping her wine.
