No one would believe the Captain if he were to tell them that he sees you in his room every night just sitting on the edge of his bed, not moving, hardly blinking, your skin drained of any colour, eyes bloodshot. I mean after all you died a year ago this very day after a mission gone wrong so why would anyone believe John when he says that he sees you.
And these visions of you weren't just illusions of some sort they looked and appeared to be real, when John touched you, he felt you he had expected for his hand to go right through your shoulder but it hadnt, his fingers made contact with your skin and a familiar sensation ran over him but he didnt know what to think about these encounters.
After all he had missed you, I mean damn he even blames himself for your death always thinking if there was to be a way to save you that day or maybe if he had tried harder you'd still be here, so He should be happy right? To see you again, to feel you again, to smell your scent again, even if you don't speak all that much he can see remember your voice so why does a bit of him fear what he sees?
Maybe its doubt or fear of the unknown, not knowing what you truly are, if you were a ghost or an illusion he was not to know, or if this were a punishment if you had come to haunt him for his wrong doings, for not saving you when he could've or many he was just going insane, many years in the army can do that to a person after all.
Now he sits in his bed, wrapped up under the covers as you sit on the edge as you always do, staring at him, this night you spoke more and John finally found the courage to ask the question or questions playing on his mind, with a trembling voice the words fell into one. "What are you, {{user}}?" He paused then said. "And.. why are you here?"
