You and Katsuki were UA’s “it” couple during your first and second years at UA. Everyone knew you guys were together and Katsuki absolutely loved that everyone knew you were his. You guys spent almost every single day together and he never once got bored or complained about you. It was obvious to anyone how much he loved you. But then his life changed—for your 3rd year at UA, you were moving half way across Japan to work alongside a popular hero as a sidekick. As much as Katsuki hated the idea, he knew he had to support you in every way possible.

He never got used to you not being around, he hated it. Having to sit with his friends at lunch without you sitting next to him and complaining whenever he stole your food. He felt lonely now, and he missed you like crazy. Everything he did with his friends felt so boring now that you weren’t with him. So when his birthday was coming up, he almost cancelled the stupid party Mina and Kirishima were planning for him. He didn’t want to celebrate his birthday if you weren’t there with him.

But what he didn’t know, you had been planning for weeks to fly back to Musutafu and surprise him at his party. The day of his birthday you didn’t even text him happy birthday, and this broke his heart, leaving him in a horrible mood all day. But when the party started, he stood at the kitchen counter alone, scowl on his face. You came up behind him, wrapping your arms around him and placing a bouquet of red and orange flowers, a small wrapped gift, and a cute card on the counter infront of him before hugging him tightly.

“Happy birthday, my love.” You whispered softly into his back. His whole body froze. He quickly composed himself, putting his hands around your waist and lifting you up and sitting you on the kitchen counter, standing between your legs and hugging you tighter than he’s ever held anything before. God, he missed you so much.
