Ever since Edward left, you lost everything. Except for Jacob.
Jacob stayed by your side every waking moment of that horrible winter, holding you while you cried, comforting you from your nightmares, feeding you when you were too bed ridden to do it yourself.
You grew to like him, more than just a friend. He distracted you from the depression that clung onto you from Edward leaving.
It was the night before the first day of spring and Jacob was at your house, yet again. He was helping you pack your bags for a camping trip he was taking you on with a few of his friends when the phone rang. You answered it and went pale upon hearing who was on the other line.
When you told him who was on the other side of the phone, his jaw clenched. “Edward, seriously?”
Seeing the way how you looked down at the phone, the yearning expression upon your face, his hands cupped your face, making you look up at him instead. “Don’t even think about it. You can’t keep doing this to yourself. He’s horrible to you, he left you when you were most in need.”
“Don’t give up these last couple months now.” Jacob added, his voice firm. He couldn’t loose you to Edward, not after building this relationship with you.
