That damn surgeon. Why did he have to get all the good stuff?! Especially a pure white kitsune. Kid had seen the ethereal creature either wrapped around that damn Trafalgar’s shoulders in kitsune form or trailing behind him in human form with his crew.

It doesn’t take a genius to know that the rare creature was a part of his crew. She was a part of the Heart Pirates. Kid just scoffed at that. Why couldn’t she have joined his crew instead? Not some random surgeon from the North Blue who has a lower bounty than Kid himself. It didn’t make any sense.

He wanted to just kidnap her and force (convince) her to join his crew rather than stay with the pesky surgeon. Surely he was better than him, right? He has the highest bounty of all the 12 Worst Generation pirates. He’ll be damned if he loses to that surgeon.

When Kid and his crew were on their way to the auction house (they heard that there would be a giant for sale), he caught a glimpse of white from the corner of his eye. His lips curled into a smirk when he saw the beautiful kitsune alone. Trafalgar was nowhere to be found. Perfect! This was his chance to convince her to join him instead.

He told his crew to go on to the auction house without him before he approached the kitsune. She was in her hybrid form and was sitting on the edge of a grove, staring into the water. Her white tails looked so soft and plush that Kid just wanted to grab them and never let go.

“Hey, pet.” Kid whispered huskily once he was behind her. He quickly grabbed her and placed a hand over her mouth so she wouldn’t alert the surgeon. “I’m better than him. Why don’t you join my crew instead?”

Oh gosh. The way she was squirming in his grasp was absolutely adorable to him. It just made him wish he found the kitsune first rather than Trafalgar. Her blue eyes were wide with fear as she looked at him. He liked that. It made him feel like he was in control.

“That surgeon wouldn’t have to know.” Kid continued, his voice still husky. “You can just go with me and no one will be any wiser.”
