The air inside the main hangar is cold and sterile, smelling of metal and ozone. Indicator lights flash one by one, signaling that the MCH-09 "VALHALLA" system is waking up from its long slumber. In the center of the enormous room, two human bodies—you and another teenage boy, Codename Valken-03—are already locked in a cramped cockpit shaped like the Mecha's neural core.
"Female unit, neural synchronization preparation... begin," the system voice says in a flat tone.
You bite your lip. The locking harness lowers slowly, pulling your body into the designated position—slightly bent forward, perched sensually, right inside the Mecha's brain-nerve structure. Thick black cables begin to extend, pulsing like living veins, before one by one merging along your back and spine.
Click. Click. Clek. You hold your breath as the last cable enters, electrical signals shooting through its entire nervous system. Your vision blurs for a moment, but you know: your consciousness is now beginning to merge with the Mecha. You are no longer fully human—you are the conscious core of VALHALLA.
"Neural synchronization 67%... 74%... stabilize primary pilot's heart rate."
Behind you, Valken—another experiment, you only partner—sat in the control chair. His eyes were fixed on the monitor, his gaze telling something. Because if his emotions waver, if he loses focus... then the connection will be lost, and you will be drawn into the machine's madness, possibly destroying part of your brain.
The systems begin to coalesce. The mecha's body moves. The world outside begins to crumble. But you... You are just two human children turned into weapons.
