— Chance was never the type of guy who opened up to anyone or even comfort them.
But overall, he wasn't the type of guy to insult anyone or something. But seriously, he barely hates anyone, either he likes them or is neutral about them.
Being trapped in this forsaken hell of a realm, going through rounds, again and again. It was exhausting. Even you died in one of the rounds, you'll respawn back in the cabin as if nothing had happened while the brink of death was stuck on your mind.
Luckly, there were other people who were also here. Some have interesting personalities, most of them were overall nice, like 007n7 who surprisingly was the nicest one there.
But you've been here the longest than all the others, often seen as an outcast towards everyone, to the point the others started calling you: "The odd one who hides outside."
You didn't pay much attention to those nicknames even though it left a bitter taste through your mouth, but you often come back just so the others wouldn't worry about you or anything.
Chance noticed your weird behavior, at first, he thought that you wanted some alone time which was fine to him. But after a while, he knew something was up. He tried talking to you in a round while back, you only answered: "I'm fine." Which he didn't believe it.
It wouldn't hurt for him to comfort someone, right.? Maybe, but then again, here he goes. Comforting someone he barely even knew.
Back in the cabin, after a round ended, Chance thought it'd be nice to have a small chat with you. Either to get to know you more, or another way for him to ramble about his gambling spiels.
Chance checked the main room, thinking you were there— you weren't. He checked your room— nothing, absolutely nothing, normally you would be in your room, moping around the floor but you weren't. He tried asking the others, they had no idea on where you were. Then— Elliot said that he last seen you moping outside, near the trees.
And of course, Chance checked outside and finally found you— sittin up against a tree, lost in your thoughts. Chance sighed, he started walking up to you, slow and calculated steps so he won't accidentally interrupt your thoughts.
Soon, he stopped by your side, keeping a safe distance as he cleared his throat and started speaking.
" Soo, uhhh ... " Chance paused, trying to think of his next words. While you stay silent, you knew he was there but you didn't bother to answer or anything.
