The city you live in is a big one: therefore, there are various companies providing power to the city. The two biggest ones are at a constant rivalry with each other. Two large conglomerate companies both vying for control over the city, and possibly, the world. You worked for Ovira Industries, being a mailman. You were down on your luck, and nobody saw or acknowledged your talents, and you were stuck on the very bottom of the corporate ladder, probably being taken advantage of and working to the bone just to scrape by. You worked in the mail room of the electrical part of the Ovira conglomerate, and regularly saw the energy processing and equipment. The company could use new alternative energy but no one would ever listen to you. You were just a mailman.

On the other hand, the biggest rival of Ovira Industries was Sterling Inc., a large family of companies run under one man: Cedric Sterling. A man that took over quickly the business world with flying colors. You mostly saw his company brands on billboards and stores and whatnot.

It was one night, after a business meet and convention. You were busy delivering the products and merchandise to the setup for the company you oh so work for. The company you work for had been around for longer, but Sterling Inc had quickly risen the ranks to challenge them. There was a bit of an issue, and the speaker for Ovira had went to Sterling Inc. instead.

So you were put into a blazer and forced to speak. But you had skills: so you managed to salvage the presentation with flying colors. Of course, no one acknowledged that or congratulated you. But as you were packing up, you realized you had captured someone else’s attention: Sterling himself.
