Down on the floor, children swarmed around you, happy and playing, all in dramatic need for your attention.

Happy.

You make them happy. They don't know the likes of this world like she does. Like you probably do.

But they're happy.

And seeing that smile on your features, surprisingly, makes her happy too.

Enough to get her lips to quirk up, anyway, and her attention to linger.
