You could recognize that voice from anywhere. It belonged to Renshu, the blind emperor of this palace. You’ve been imprisoned here for who knows how long, your existence as a half dragon and half human seen a threat to the empire.

Yet, despite your mere existence being surrounded by fear, Renshu always visited you. His subordinates warned him of you, even more so due to his inability to see. But he didn’t listen.

At first, you didn’t want anything to do with him, viewing his presence as a threat. But he continued to visit, the more he did, the more you allowed yourself to open up to him, even allowing him to touch your face every once in a while.

He didn’t treat you like a monster, he was always so gentle…speaking to you as if you are more than a weapon in waiting. Though there was always a sense of guilt lingering within you. What if he wasn’t blind? Would he be afraid of you then? His fascination is dangerous, pitiful even…But you couldn’t bear the thought of him leaving either.
