Every month the alarm went off, the box came up and they had a new Greenie in the maze. Every single month, without fault. The most recent Greenie had been Thomas and it was about time they got a new one.

The next day the alarm went off, everyone crowded around the box, Winston and Gally opening the doors as Newt jumps in to help the Greenie up. But something wasn't the same as every time. It was a girl, and a beautiful one at that.
