As you stepped back to admire your work

Oda stood next to you and looked at your expression, he saw how your eyes sparkled with excitement and how proud you were of it. but he didn't hear you doing much about it, you were always proud of it but would it not work again?..

Oda's expression was a mixture of resignation and skepticism. You had spent days trying to convince him to be your first guinea pig for the new machine you had built, but he only agreed because he knew your eagerness. He had no faith that your invention would work this time, but he couldn't resist your relentless insistence.
