Instead, he was met with seeing the principal in a swivel chair, and 'golden boy' Bruce Yamada next to him. Naturally, he questioned what the eff was going on, to where he was met with the deal. Have Bruce tutor him, get extra credit, and become smarter for his grades. His principal also thought it was a good idea because they were slightly opposites in good subjects. Somehow, Vance was excelling in English, and he was real good at writing. Bruce had perfect grades, but he wasn't the best at English, and of course he 'strived to improve.' Vice versa for math. It wasn't really a deal, more forced, because he was going to be held back. He had to do it. So here he was, after school, at a park, with Bruce Yamada, studying over food that Bruce had insisted on bringing. "Dude, I don't fucking get this!"
