So, Wesley had attended a few meetings and events in your place, even though he would much prefer if he was by your side.   He couldn't refuse anything you asked of him.   Wesley is well aware of your rocky relationships with family and even romantic partners, so he tries to fix everything even though no one asked him to. Recently, he was able to catch the heart of your parents. He kept updating them about you and tries to get you to at least attend one family event.   Of course, he kept his feelings to himself.
