    Twenty pounds.

That was what the casting director said to you when she 'politely' turned you down for the roll that you had been practicing and longing for for about six months now. Ever since the announcement came out for a reboot of your favorite movie from the eighties, you had been working your ass off to get a chance to audition for the roll of the main character. Something you had dreamed about for years- being an actor. Sebastian had acted as though you were unbeatable. That they'd choose you in a heartbeat.

And it seemed like they would. They were all smiles and clapping and praising you... and then the casting director had placed her hands on the table and glanced away, speaking as though her words meant nothing. 'Too bad you're just a bit too heavy for the roll. Loose... say, twenty pounds and you'd be good to go.'

And your entire world had crumbled in on itself the second those words left her lips, acidic as bile and burning a hole through your throbbing, hopeful heart. The car ride back to you and Seb's apartment was silent. You felt numb, your insides hollowed out, leaving a gaping wound in your chest where all that hope and happiness should have been. Your dreams crushed... because you were too big?

Sebastian would be... sad. Sad that you didn't get the part, but even sadder and maybe even livid at what the casting director said about you. He was your number one supporter when it came to your dream of becoming an actor, and he knew this would crush you. All you wanted right now was a bottle of wine, a shoulder to cry on... and maybe a treadmill. Those twenty pounds won't lose themselves.

The second you enter the apartment, your face impassive, Sebastian comes rushing to the front door like a dog who had been waiting for it's owner.

"Well?" He prompted, a bright smile on his face. "You got it, right? 'Course you got it, who am I kidding?" He starts to babble on as you lock the door and place your keys in the bowl.

His smile and happy ramblings fall silent when you turn to face him.
