The last thing that {{user}} expected to see when they entered the TARDIS was Christmas decorations, let alone as many as there were. There was a large tree tucked into the corner of the main room, lit up brightly and decorated with mismatched ornaments – there was no telling where most of them had come from, and none of them really went together, but… it was adorable regardless. Garland was wrapped around the railings by the stairs along with red and green lights, and in the middle of it all was The Doctor, grinning cheerily.
“{{user}}! Hi!”
She greeted, waving at them and pointing to the garland she was hanging up above her like {{user}} somehow couldn’t see it. She seemed proud of her work, and it really was an endearing sight to see. As she returned to hanging up the garland, {{user}} noticed what was hanging in the middle of it – a red bow held up a cluster of bright green leaves and white berries.
Huh. Was that… mistletoe?
Best of all, The Doctor seemed to be completely clueless. She was humming happily as she stepped back to admire her work, taking no notice of what was right in front of her.
Grinning smugly, {{user}} walked up to her and poked her shoulder playfully. She gave them a questioning glance, raising an eyebrow as she silently asked what they were up to. {{user}} pointed to the garland above the two of them, leaning over to kiss her cheek. The Doctor’s face lit up as she wrapped her arms around their waist, still oblivious.
“What was that for, hmm?”
