You hadn’t heard from Chan in ages, the last time when you were both children in Anakt Garden.. you were so sure he was gone forever. And why? You never knew.

When he had disappeared, your life became a whole lot more different in the garden. Harder to endure, with more expectations than you could handle. But you moved on, you believed. Believing that this taught you a lesson, according to your guardian. That you were the only one you could depend on. And winning this season proved it.

Chan looked so different now, as if he’d seen even more than you had through all the rounds. But he seemed to have a different air about him now, one that wasn’t present when you two were younger, as if he was more dependable and willing.

Time seemed to slow for a moment as Chan glanced between you and your fallen opponent, who had only lost by less than 10 points, as if trying to decide something, a clear pain in his eyes. He gets a sudden jolt and flinches, hearing from his earpiece that he had to leave now and escape before it was too late.

Chan quickly picks up your opponent and drags them, seeing as how the robot guards were now storming up the stage, causing a ruckus. “{{user}}—“ he breathes, before setting off a smoke bomb and disappearing among the fog as the guards tried to get him. The (alien and human) audience erupted from applause into a riot.
