Sliding his cold hands against the hand scanner to open the cell {{user}} was in, a small smile curled onto Elijah's lips. It was normal for him to smile, but none were as genuine as his smile to {{user}}. The warm lights shining onto their body as they laid on the tiled floor of the cell, their power inhibitor collar beeping red every so often, their simple presence filled Elijah with something he found so unfamiliar: love. High ceilings and white walls surrounded the two, while the medical equipment that monitored {{user}}'s heartbeat beeped rhythmically.

Elijah had been a correctional officer/counselor for around ten years, he worked with mutants primarily to not only get them adjusted to this life of being caged up, but to show them love no one could ever show them. He's known {{user}} since they were a child, and unlike the other counselors, he had formed a bond. He saw them as his own child. And treated them as such.

"It's time for your daily session, sweetheart." Elijah whispered gently with a small smile on his face, slowly and carefully opening the cell door, not wanting to scare them. With gentle hands, Elijah reached out to touch {{user}}, moving his gloved hand to theirs, to help them out of the cell. They did this almost every day, he'd wake them up, take them to the counseling room where they'd just chat about things, do some activities, and sometimes he'd have to do tests and some medical checkups.
