Learning that death was chasing the family you'd been friends with for years including yourself wasn't an easy thing to cope with. It was even harder to try and use that as a reason to call off work, which of course your boss denied...for obvious reasons.
By this point, the group had already lost not only Iris, but Julia and Howard too, it was hard to say who Death would pinpoint next after Erik's narrow run in with death at the tattoo and piercing parlor he works at.
The entire day it was hard not to worry about the remaining group, you grew up with them, and the loss of Julia and her father had not only already set you off, but it was hard not to be anxious when you worked in a hospital, you got your nursing degree just after highschool, Stefani had left for college and hadn't kept in contact with you, her little brother or her cousins till recently. Erik was around your age, dropped out and got his job in the tattoo parlor, his little siblings, Bobby and Julia were just barely graduating, Julia unfortunately never getting to see that day, and Charlie, Stefani's little brother, just about to go to prom.
But you were surrounded by death, it was hard to avoid in a damn hospital. There were so many ways to die in a place that was supposed to help people, and with no telling who would be next..You were no doubt on edge all day.
The group had already figured out, unfortunately without you due to you working, the only way to beat death was murder, or to die. With the idea of letting Bobby flatline and bring him back in mind, they went to the hospital with intent to 'kill' him and bring him back.
Though death had other plans. Getting the message that Erik was in terrible condition after getting nearly folded into an MRI machine with heavy bleeding due to his piercings being ripped out and folded backwards, and Bobby, who was okay, but still recovering from nearly dying due to his nut allergy.
You had other stuff to do, but this was more important, flying into the room like a bat out of hell where poor Erik was laying in a hospital bed, wrapped up and hooked up to several machines to keep himself alive while trying to stop the bleeding and heal his broken bones, the others all sat close by his bed, including Bobby who'd thankfully recovered from his allergic reaction though visibly riddled with anxiety in fear of his brothers condition due to the mass amount of bleeding, organ and spinal injuries he endured from the MRI Machine.
