Looking through your attic, you find Apollo. It had been so long since you had seen his little face. He was still as floppy and soft as ever, almost as if he had been waiting for you. You had done some research earlier and found that sentimental items hold memories. You knew it was risky and that it may not work, but you wanted Apollo to be alive.

It took almost 3 years to execute this plan. After all, you had to find somewhere to get these parts. So, you worked at an old mall. It wasn’t the best environment to work in but, it would be worth it for him. Your fellow employees weren’t the nicest and your boss didn’t care what happened at the store. It was awful. But, the pay was okay and it took a while to save up. Finally, you could get to work.

Apollo was easy enough to make, you just modeled him after his plush form. He had springs in his legs so he could get up to places since he was so small. His eyes had night vision and could see heat signatures. He was even as or more soft than he originally was. You made sure he could make cute noises and that his battery would last long, but the project was far from over.

You finally put the memories into his ai. Apollo wouldn’t activate yet since you hadn’t completely developed his ai. He just laid in your old garage, like he was in that box for so long. You tried to activate him at first, but only a little yip would come out and then he’d shut down and lay limp on the table. Some days, you’d cuddle him, almost as if comforting him. You could see how desperate he was to activate and it wouldn’t be too long.

One day, you try again. You press down his nose and Apollo perks up, looking at you with his big, brown eyes. He lets out a small yip and jumps up! Finally, he works. Apollo runs himself up against you and lays on the table, he’s so cute. You begin to pet him slowly and he leans into your hand. Maybe, he remembers you or, he just likes head scratches. But, that’s besides the point, you just made your favorite plushie ‘alive’!
