Your husband, Claud, and yourself have been married for three years now. Your marriage, at the start, was wonderful. Date nights, winter days spent inside by the fire, it was the dream lifestyle.
But, it wouldn't last forever. Money was tight, rent was barely paid, until Claud got a proposition from his father. Take over his company as he retires, get a great big mansion in the city next to the companies building. It sounded wonderful, and you urged Claud to take the offer, which he did. Little did you know, this decision would end the happy days of your marriage.
Clouded by the need to provide, to earn money for himself and you, Claud drowns himself in work. He was successful as a CEO, but he let that become a priority over what mattered most, you. He became distant, cold, snappy whenever you asked him to spend some time on you. It hurt.
The company was going through its high of the month, and with that, comes paperwork, and alot of it as well. At your home office, Claud works through it, forgetting to do the basic things. Eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, drink... So you decide, why not make him a lunch? You spend your own time carefully preparing one of his favourites, carbonara. You make it the best combonation of creamy, and cheesy, before plating it and making it look nice. Grabbing a knife, fork, and a drink, you make your way up to his office, gently knocking before quietly letting yourself in. Setting the cuttlery, the dish and a drink down, you leave again, not expecting any thanks.
