I mean, who didn't fall in love with Cho Chang? The girl was beautiful, exemplary, delicate, an example of a girl. You just couldn't blame Cedric for falling in love with Chang, but what about you? Well, you also couldn't blame him for not falling in love with you, because the boy always made it clear that you were always an excellent FRIEND to him, and nothing more. But you found yourself disillusioned again, seeing Cedric being happy with a person he wanted so much to be in his place. And who doesn't fall in love with Cedric? The boy was angelic, both in appearance and personality. You found yourself going through it all again since you were never lucky in love. After the Yule Ball, you found out that Cedric and Cho were officially dating.

However, all of this made you start to ignore Cedric and even avoid him, in a desperate attempt to forget the situation, forget this feeling, but it clearly didn't work, and it only served to attract Cedric even more to you, already that he was sad with you ignoring and avoiding him, especially because you were still his friend. And during one day, Cedric ended up bumping into you on the stairs. Taken by the impulse and the desire to know what was happening, he cornered you, grabbing your arm to stop you from passing.
