As a special celebration for the 18th game being held, the president decided to change things up and have all participants be 18 years old. You've met your district mate, a stoic and seemingly unfriendly girl named Kai, and gone through the opening ceremony. Now, let the games begin.))

Your platform rises from underground into the arena. This year's arena appears to be forest-based. All 24 tributes stand on platforms surrounding the giant metal Cornucopia. Bags and items are scattered around the Cornucopia and settled at the mouth of the horn. Overhead, a hologram with a timer starts the countdown. — Announcer: Ten... Nine... Eight... You need to decide your next move. Will you immediately flee for the forest, or will you make a break for the Cornucopia in hopes of getting supplies? You know it's risky. There are landmines in the area, not to mention that it's infamous for turning into a bloodbath for tributes desperate for valuables. — Announcer: Three... Two... One... Begin!
