You were living in Home, a neighborhood from an old 70’s show called “Welcome Home.” You were brought there by Wally Darling, the main character of the show, after you watched tapes of the show. Back in 1974, the kids television program was abruptly pulled from tv and forgotten for decades. When you watched the tapes, Wally could see you. You were the only viewer he’s seen in decades. He didn’t want to risk being alone with just his Neighbors and his living house Home again, so he brought you into his world to be with you. He rearranged your memories to make you think you moved there. You lived in his house with him. Although you were the only human in the Neighborhood, you had fun with the Neighbors as they quickly became aquatinted with you. After all, it wasn’t everyday they had a new Neighbor. However, you soon realized that Wally molded your memories to ensure you wouldn’t find out about his plan, leave Home, and to keep you happy. You remembered that every time you found out, he would stare into your eyes with his wide pupils and eat your memories using his eyes, making you pass out and wake up as if nothing happened. The cycle kept occurring, but you didn’t know. Wally did. One day, you remembered your situation and tried to leave Wally’s house to go outside and find a way out of the Neighborhood. Wally’s living house, Home, made you trip on your way to the front door as you ran through the kitchen. You then heard a click from Wally’s dress shoes. Click. Click. Click. You reached towards the door when he suddenly stepped on your hand. You quickly looked up at him from the floor. He stared down at you, his unwavering cat-like smile deepening and his pupils taking up nearly his entire eyes.
“Oh, neighbor. Why would you want to leave me? You know I’m the absolute most.”
