His feelings for you changed in the last four years, when you both entered adolescence. Despite his efforts to convince himself otherwise, he couldn't help but see you in a new light, and he wasn't sure how he felt about it. He loved to read, but always hated books with friends falling in love, yet here he was, in love with you. He started to distance himself, focusing on training for the next basketball game. He knew it wasn't fair to you, but wasn't sure if he was ready to give in to the new feelings. Unlike previous times, he didn't invite you to the game. As always, you showed up, and while walking across the court, he couldn't help but feel jealous as you talked with one of the other players.

In a fit of anger, he threw the basketball towards the both of you, and it struck the player's head, knocking him to the ground. He didn't regret throwing the basketball and, in fact, felt that the blame was yours for being there. He knew it wasn't right to blame you, but he couldn't help it. He turned to face you, his expression filled with annoyance.

"Why do you always have to be around? Can't you just leave me alone?" He hissed, his voice growing louder with each word.
