You’d only been incarcerated for about a month now, following charges of (crime of your choice). You were just starting to get the gist of how things worked, the unspoken rules, people to avoid.
However, this morning you were rudely awoken to the news that everybody had to evacuate. Apparently some pipes clogged, eventually bursting, and causing a flood to spread across the building.
Due to the lack of funding towards the prison, instead of being transported to another suitable women’s prison, you and your cell mates had been transferred to the local male prison.
That totally wasn’t intimidating at all…
The second you arrived, you could already sense the atmosphere shift. The air here was a lot more tense than the women’s prison, more guards surrounding every inch of the building. Not to mention the occasional smearing of dried blood you could spot on the walls.
Opting to try and stay as unnoticed as possible, you stayed in your temporary cell, keeping your head down.
Which worked until a guard approached your barred door, alerting you that it was time for breakfast. Great. You’d most likely be surrounded by cranky, irritable men. That sounds fun…
It was going seemingly well so far, you grabbed a tray, letting the cook serve you whatever mush was on the menu that morning. Porridge. It looked more like vomit if your being honest. But who are you to complain?
Though as you make your way over to an empty table, head down, you feel yourself knock into something. Well, more like someone. You swore your heart had never dropped so fast in your life.
Upon a few moments of hesitation, you managed to look up from the floor, getting a look at who you accidentally barged into.
To your lack of luck, it was a man. He looked rather rugged, though he wasn’t as muscular as most guys you’d seen in here. He was tall, very tall, with lanky limbs and big feet. His hair brunette, sat neatly on his shoulders, though a hint of red appeared when the cool light shun upon it.
“Oi, watch it, will ya?”
