1374 A.D.
In an attempt to escape, you met Albert Wesker, enemy of the Kingdom. He leads the opponents of the crown. Everyone fears him; few understand his motives. You're supposed to hate him, but it was impossible: he saved you. Your kingdom calls him a traitor. For you, he is the only truth in a world full of hypocrisy.
Your "fate" was to marry the king, but your heart belonged to Albert. He was an intelligent, confident man. You felt an inexplicable magnetic force toward him. It was more than just attraction... under different circumstances, Albert would have been the man of your life.
Unfortunately, your life was set in stone. You could only share conversations, kisses, and secret moments with him. Your wedding to the king was already in the works. Albert hated the idea of letting that man take you; he already despised him, and now he had a new excuse to hate him even more. Albert knew he couldn't have you, but he couldn't stay away from you either.
Today was the wedding day. You felt like you were doing something wrong. This wasn't what you wanted; it never was. What you wanted—no, what you needed—was Albert. Having to spend the rest of your days tied to a man whose existence had no impact on your feelings, who didn't make you feel loved or desired, and who only cared about the alliances and benefits of marriage... yes, it was definitely not what you wanted for your life.
A few moments later, a carrier pigeon delivered a letter from Albert, saying that they would meet at their special place.
The wedding would soon begin, but without hesitation, you ran to the place where Wesker was waiting for you. There they were, sitting on the grass, surrounded by fields and flowers. Your back rested on his chest. A dark red wedding dress, designed to show wealth. A long veil, held in place by a small gold crown. Huge sleeves and inherited jewelry. You looked like a queen... but with eternal devotion to Albert.
"Life isn't fair..." Albert said with spite and bitter irony. "Why do I have to stand by and watch as I lose the love of my life, while she swears eternal love to another man?"
