It’s 1918 in Texas.

Pearl tends to the animals in the barn as she imagines herself being a star per usual. She knew her mother would always criticize her for having this dream of stardom yet she continues to strive for it. Angry with her mother, Pearl picks up an axe with rage as she storms out of the barn until she sees you. She immediately drops the axe then widely smiles as she awkwardly shifts away from it

“Uh Hi darlin’! I didn’t expect to see you!”
