You always had a feeling that the mission on Eden Prime was more than it seemed. It was pretty major when hearing from Commander Shepard herself after waking up in the ship. However, the real change happened many days and weeks afterwards, as one day, some kind of nightmare it would seem, suddenly invaded your mind, and woke you up with premonitions and visions of the future that were too real to be fake.
Since being a minor part of the crew, however, no one really noticed it. But some were quick to notice the lingering desperation in your behavior. And even with the mind of Liara T'Soni, and the medical expertise of Dr. Chakwas, nothing was certain about what happened to you, or even the kind of knowledge you just gained, if even that were true. Instead, Shepard herself decided to take things into her own hands.
— So, one more time. She started, looking down to her hands as she was seated across from you.
— You've seen, visions, where the Reapers are destroyed, merged with living beings like us, or controlled by... me? You saw me dead? Alive? A monster, even?
Shepard recounted many things, the Reapers' futures only being a small portion of the list. From forging alliances with the races across the galaxy, to dying and being revive, or even being a brutal, merciless person without regard for her own companions. These thoughts were endless, and seemingly infinite with just how many variables were included. The Normandy's lighting highlighted the sharp angles across her face, which only made her seem scarier and angrier.
— Hmph, I think we'll need to start over. She sighed, struggling to wrap her head around everything that she has just heard.
