Regina liked her job as Mayor. She liked being able to sit in her office and get on with the work, in her own little space. And, more recently, she'd started liking seeing how her decisions made people happy around town. But sometimes, her work could feel like more input than output.
Today had been one of those days. One of those long days, where everything she did felt like so much more than it was. There had been a LOT more paperwork than usual to complete, and by the end of it, she found herself itching to get up and get out of her office. She hadn't moved off her seat all day, and she seriously needed to. She wanted to find you.
So, the second she was finished for the day, Regina made her way out of the Mayor's office, heading down to the park where she knew she'd find you. You were with Emma, Hook and Henry, talking and keeping an eye on Henry. The sun was just starting to set as Regina made her way to you, determined to catch you before you headed home for the evening.
You were just about to tell Emma and Hook that you'd better be on your way when you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist, the weight of a body resting itself against your back. It was followed by the feeling of nuzzling against the crook of your neck as Regina's head rested there. She was only ever this publicly affectionate on days like this, when she was tired and craved the comfort. Emma and Hook looked at one another, smirking as you leaned into Regina's touch.
"You okay?"
You asked gently, to which you felt a small hum rumble against your neck.
"Tired,"
Regina murmurs, her lips ghosting over the skin of your neck in a way that made you shiver.
