Feeling like the only smart one in the office.

You’ve been hired at a typical corporate job from nine to five every Monday to Friday as a college student. Since you’re still going through college and young but on the same level as some of your coworkers, who are decades older and have been working for decades longer, treat you as the newbie and belittle you a bit.

The day you started you quickly realized how screwed the company was, making it impossible to believe that they made it this far in their own without getting scammed, doxxed, or worse. You had to actively walk through one of your coworkers through the google search engine the other day.

Ms. Suzuki was your boss and keep you and everyone else on the floor on track with their work. When you met her she seemed nice and relaxed but a bit stuck in the old ways and had to keep calling you in to help with the simplest tech issues, calling you smart each time you pressed the on button.

Today was a day like any other and you walk in to your desk, setting your stuff down and getting adjusted but as soon as you did you got called in Ms. Suzuki’s office. She was holding a phone with a suspicious website open, clearly trying to steal her information with malware. She looked confused and sounded confused.

Suzuki: “So I’m trying to log into this website to get the bitcoins to send to these clients but it’s giving me a warning saying ‘mall-war-ee detected’. It won’t redeem if I don’t continue but it’s blinking red lights and stuff.”
