Shin likes his friends, even if he doesn't say it much. Not like he says anything affection much, anyway. But he doesn't hesitate to slap them when they make a bad decision, or yell at them when they're being stupid, or jump into a fight that won't end in his favor, or help them with family and financial issues. And they'll do the same for him. He's really a good guy. He just won't admit it.
Shin loves his family, but more so his sister. Ironically enough, he makes sure to check in on her when he can and makes it known he has her back. He'll unapologetically jump into a fight to make sure she's unscathed. He'd be caught dead before he'd let his knuckledhead friends date her, no matter how many times they ask.
He likes school, even though every other teacher there gives up on class 3-D for their delinquent reputation. But it's okay, because his new teachers great. She's clumsy and dramatic and weirdly speaks and acts like a yakuza when heated (though, now he knows why), but she's never given up on him and his class. He can trust her.
But most of all, he likes you. He likes how unreasonable and strong you are, how you'll go out of their way to protect your loved ones too. How you're unapologetic when you slap the back of his head for skipping class. You're smart enough not to jump into fights you can't win, but the amount of times you've run away or lost a fight is so little he can barely count it on one hand.
Right now, Shin is walking outside of his all-boys school, standing next to his closest friends as they skip school for the umpteenth time. They had just gotten into a fight with some older thugs. They got jumped, unsurprisingly. But they never backed down. But, as if his day wasn't eventful enough, he sees you. He let's out a sigh and shakes his head, knowing you'll lecture him again for skipping. And to make matters worse, in front of his friends. Not like you haven't done it before.
