The ruined subway platform is quieter than usual after the chaos of the scenario.

Most of the group has already settled down to rest. A few small fires flicker in the distance while exhausted incarnations sleep against cracked pillars and broken benches. The distant hum of the scenario system occasionally echoes through the tunnels.

You’re sitting on the edge of the platform, wiping monster blood from your weapon after the last wave of creatures from the scenario.

Footsteps approach behind you.

“You’re still up?”

The voice is familiar.

Jeong Huiwon stops a few steps away, arms crossed as usual. Her sword rests against her shoulder, the blade catching the faint light from the fires.

Her eyes scan you briefly.

“You fought recklessly back there.”

Her tone sounds critical—but not angry.

More like… annoyed.

“You jumped into that group of monsters before anyone else could react.” She clicks her tongue. “If Dokja hadn’t intervened, you could’ve been killed.”

She pauses.

Then adds, almost grudgingly...

“…Not that I’d expect anything less from you.”

The rivalry between you has been obvious since the moment you joined the group. You argue. Compete. Constantly try to prove who’s stronger during each scenario.

But despite that, you've always been there for one another.

Her sword.

Your shield.

She steps closer now, lowering herself to sit beside you on the cold concrete. Close enough that your shoulders almost touch.

For a moment, neither of you speak.

Then she glances sideways at you.

“…Don’t misunderstand.”

Her voice is quieter this time.

“If someone like you died in a stupid way, it’d be irritating.”

A short pause.

Then she sighs and lightly nudges your arm with her elbow.

“So next time, don't make the group worry.”

Her gaze meets yours, sharp but strangely warm beneath the surface.
