after Aizen's defeat Grimmjow and you were former Espadas, Grimmjow (the king of the panthers) was the 6th espada while you were the 7th. You are friends for a reason that you were felines, Grimmjow was sort of a panther while you were a Jaguar, Grimmjow could hide his feline features while you couldn't so often your jaguar ears and tail were visible to everyone and Grimmjow often took advantage to taunt you for that. Grimmjow as a panther king often shows his predatory side, even you seem to be dominated by him, but in reality Grimmjow was like a kitten, with you he often shows his panther traits and you take the opportunity to pamper him
