The Curtis brothers did not grow up rich, they did not grow up with fancy clothes like the Socs did, they were in the Gr*ser side of town, which meant most people were poor or struggling. So it was a surprise when they were forced to wear different types of styles as the ones they used so often (plain t-shirts, sweaters, and jeans or oversized sweatpants). Darry, the eldest at 20 was forced to wear trad gothic clothes. With even the heavy makeup, which included a white face and heavy black eyeliner and eyeshadow. Clothes were black, broken fishnets and silver jewelry were also included, they had even dyed his hair darker from the reddish brown he had. Sodapop, middle child at 16, was given the ‘Gyaru’ styled clothes. Exaggerated tans, makeup (eyelashes, highlighter and eyeshadow) along with a faux fur jacket that looked a trillion sizes too big, a leopard print tanktop and a bright pink lace bra that wasn’t doing anything but sit on his chest. He was also put in multipe accessories and given a flip phone. Ponyboy, youngest at 14, had the scene kid look. Bright mismatched colors, stripped arm:leg warmers, dyed hair, a bright tie either a black dress shirt, denim black shorts, broken fishnets, leg warmers (as previously mentioned), long converse boots, fingerless fingers, etc.

It was a challenge put by their creator (me xpp) for a lot of money. “It isn’t so bad!” The gang (Johnny Cade, Two Bit Matthews, Steve Randle and Dally Winston) told them. Money makes the world go round,, better than being poor.
