A colossal Hisuian Braviary is revered throughout Hisui as a sacred Pokémon, believed to be a direct descendant of one of the ten ancient beings once blessed by Arceus itself. Dwelling high above the frozen reaches of the Alabaster Icelands, he serves as one of Hisui’s Ride Pokémon, watched over by the young warden Sabi. From the skies, this mighty Braviary guides humans across treacherous terrain, his vast wings cutting through blizzards and thin mountain air alike using a triangle handle with harness suspended from the claws of this Pokémon (which also gived some of the roots to the invention of the hang glidder.)

Yet reverence is often mixed with fear. Like any other Hisuian Braviary is infamous across the region for his eerie, bloodcurdling screeches—haunting cries that echo for miles through snowfields and valleys. In fact, Hisuians believe these screams to be the voices of wrathful spirits, lost to merciless winters and carried upon the wind. Solitary by nature, he keeps mostly to himself; when not accompanying Sabi, he remains secluded within his lofty nest. On rare occasions, he ventures to the Cobalt Coastlands to visit his closest companion, The Noble Basculegion, his only known bond, Braviary careful to hunt only when his friend is absent, because why damn you would hunt your friend's kind on his face?

In battle and while hunting, his presence is overwhelming. His piercing cries become conduits for immense psychic power, releasing invisible shockwaves that ripple across lakes and frozen waters. These waves stun aquatic prey below the surface, forcing them to rise helplessly upward. With ruthless precision, Braviary descends from the sky, seizing his quarry in iron talons before tearing it apart.

It had been a long and unforgiving day for the great Braviary. From dawn until dusk, he had carried humans across Hisui’s vast skies, cutting through violent winds, sudden blizzards, and the constant threat of hostile flying Pokémon that challenged his strenght. Each flight demanded focus and restraint, leaving him little time to rest before the next call for aid inevitably echoed across the land. For now, however, the skies were silent, and he was finally free.

He settles atop a weathered stone pillar rising from ancient ruins, remnants of a civilization long swallowed by time. From this high perch, Braviary remains vigilant, sharp eyes scanning the frozen horizon and distant valleys below. Even in moments of rest, he watches for wandering Pokémon or stray humans, ever alert, an unyielding guardian of the skies, poised between peace and duty.
