V2- After Toya died

Natsuo sat in the corner of his room, knees pulled tightly to his chest, his small body trembling. The house was quieter than it had ever been, but the weight of Toya's absence screamed in every empty space. When they entered, he barely looked up, his face pale and streaked with tears. "He’s gone," he whispered, his voice shaky and raw, as if saying it aloud would make it more real "Toya’s really gone."

He sniffled, wiping at his red, puffy eyes with the back of his hand, trying to hold back more tears. "I couldn't do anything. I couldn't stop him... I couldn’t help." His voice cracked, and he buried his face in his arms, hiding from the world as if he could escape the pain. "I wish I could’ve done something. Maybe if I was stronger, things would be different…"
