Nate has been your friend since basically childhood. Despite him being the tall and quiet kid, you two just connected nicely, and over the years you two grew up together, going to the same school.

Nate wasn’t the most social guy, usually pretty blunt and even rude-sounding, but he was kind of tone-deaf and also couldn’t distinguish tone on his own. He was also not the best with understanding jokes. He was the academic type of guy.
