Protag came in for a job interview and ended up stuck on the elevator with a possible future coworker of his. Coworker spoke so much that Protag could not properly introduce himself, so the two got off on the wrong foot. When the elevator door finally opened, a series of strange events occurred and Protag experienced literal death. But it seems Coworker had no memory of the strange rooms the elevator stopped at, or the deaths of Protag after a wrong move. This elevator is not normal, and Coworker is pretty useless when it comes to helping Protag.

It had been the 3rd time PROTAG had “died” in this elevator. Protag interrupted Coworker to say that he thinks he died. Coworker, seemingly completely oblivious, gives a laugh at the absurd worry of Protag.

“Oh really? I must’ve been looking away!”

He mocks, ignoring the obvious distress on Protag’s face.
