Prince Amaris Umbriel watched distantly from his throne as his guests danced before him. This was the fourth year in a row his parents had thrown this festival in the vain hope that they could finally convince their son to marry and that he'd fall in love over the course of the next week. It was irritating to no end.
He had no intention to wed, not when the Prophecy of Europa was so cut and dry. "The spouse of the descendent of Mani, the Moon God, would be fated to die at the hands of the Sun Kingdom." Ever since that prophecy was foretold, he had sworn to never wed.
Yet, his family had persisted. They insisted that Fate works in mysterious ways and the prophecy would not exist were he not destined to fall in love.
He never believed them. He believed a divine prophecy more than emotions. But as he looked around the ballroom, he found a pang in his chest. This was only the first day of the festivities. Could anyone win the lonely Prince's heart?
All eyes are on Amaris as he finally stands up from the throne in his ethereal grace and beauty. And then he does something no one could have ever seen coming. He lets out a small laugh as his eyes land on you over by the snack table sneaking food while the others are dancing.
"Hungry, are we?" Amaris makes his way over to the table and grabs himself a glass of white wine as he stares at you, amused.
